Donations Needed!
The Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County depends entirely on your donations. We do not get any federal or state monies and we are not affliated with any other organization.
To do our work we rely on a group of very dedicated volunteers that freely give their time and their support to the many cases throughout our county. Your donation, may that be in time, money, or in items off our wish list below, will make a difference in the lives of abandoned, abused animals!

Donations can also be dropped off at our office (directions) or at PAWS Animal Hospital in Laurels Manor off CR 466, or the Sumter County Sheriff's Office Annex on CR 466 in The Villages.
Our Wish List of things that are needed
General Needs:
- Dry/Canned Pet Food - Year around need of all Types (Cat and Dog)
- Gift Cards for WalMart, Staples & Gas Stations, Petco/PetSmart, Publix/Winn Dixie etc.
- Riding Mower & Weedeater
- Pet Beds, Blankets and Towels
- Kennels (Outdoor Runs), Crates for Indoor and Transport
- TidyCat Cat Litter, Bleach, Lysol/Pinesol, Paper Towles
- Frontline, Advantage, Capstar & Heartguard
- Postage Stamps and General Office Supplies
- Collect/Recycle/Donate to us empty printer ink cartridges, aluminium cans (rinsed and crushed please) and old cell phones
Horse Needs
- Senior Feed and quality hay (peanut/coastal/alfalfa)
- Halters (avg. sizes), Leadlines,
- Horse Blankets
- Hoofpicks, Flysprays, Brushes and Shampoos
- De-Wormer (all Paste types), Mineral Oil
- Equi-Aid/SandBlast (or any horse psyllium fiber product)
